The Cultivating Resource Opportunities Community Foundation (CRO Community Foundation) of eastern Wake County, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2013 by the members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Chi Rho Omega Chapter. The mission of the CRO Community Foundation is to address the unmet social, physical, and economic needs of families and individuals, including:

1. Providing scholastic scholarships and educational programs to students and residents;
2. Assisting and enhancing youth development in enhancing their ability to attain academic and social success; and
3. Mobilizing community resources, partnerships and referrals to help administer corporation programs.
